Good morning everyone from Silver City, New Mexico. It is Friday, November 15, 2019 and today is another beautiful day and I am enjoying this area because the energy is so pure. Sometimes I keeps me to myself a little to much because I enjoy the energy so much and I enjoy the company of the animals I am caring for.
On this house sit I am watching Lila, a Basset Hound. She is 3 years old and love love loves to be pet and go on her walks. Also there are two cats one is an old Goddess and is 19. She definitely knows when she wants to eat and without a doubt tells you about it. She is loving and after she eats loves to be stroked and then she goes on her throne and sleeps until the next feeding. Although she has been spending more time awake as she has gotten to know me better. Then there is Honey Boy who loves the great outdoors. He doesn’t like to spend much time inside, only to eat and then return to his play area. Unless it’s cold out doors he stays out all night too. I try to encourage him to come inside because there are lots and lots of predictors, but he seems to stay close and knows his safe boundaries. One thing I really enjoy about Honey Boy is how he loves to take walks with me and Lila. He reminds me of my little cat I had when I lived in Alaska. New Mexico for me has been a very very quiet and still place. There is no traffic, which I love, but I don’t see many youth here at all. It a sleepy town, with many many seniors which a lot are lateen hippies. Lol, that’s what my kids call me. The people as a whole are not as friendly as other places I have visited. However they are not mean, just very much to themselves. One thing that I see is you don’t see people working in there yards. Actually you don’t see people much at all unless you go to the store or town. Lots and lots of wild life here which is wonderful and bring joy to my heart. While I was walking I had a whole family of deer cross my path very very close. They didn’t mind me at all. I imagine the wildlife add to the great energy that is so apparent here. The best part for me is the energy I feel here. I have had some great meditations and some very important breakthroughs which have given me some wonderful insights into my life. I was staring to wonder if I would love every place I visited and want to live there, because I loved Ireland, Peru and Ecuador so much. However my question was answered here in New Mexico. Nope, not that I hate it, it’s just to dry for me. I have never been a desert person. However I would return for another sit. I have to have water and the mountains around me. There are mountains here but nothing like what I dream of and are like in Ecuador or Peru. One thing I love about here are the unbelievable blue skies. It sad they spray the skies so much here, but when they don’t, the rich blueness of the sky is breathtaking. A last note about house sitting is, before you commit to a sit anywhere, have a FaceTime with the people you are going to be working for. Ask them for a FaceTime tour of their house and to also see the animals you are going to watch. Let them know and set a date and time, so they can have a heads up that you want to see their house and animals. So when you get a tour and if the house is a mess, even after you made the appointment. Chances are it will be that way when you get there, even with all the, “I’m sorry the place is such a mess.” Twice now I have come into very dirty, one nasty dirty, houses where I had to scrub them in order to be able to live in them. Sad to say they were the ones that I did out of Mindmyhouse.com. I am not saying that all people in Mindmyhouse homes are like that because they are not. I have stayed in beautiful homes through Mindmyhouse. I am saying two that I helped were. Which really upset me even more because those are the sits I do for service and I don’t charge. I would think because of that people would be even more interested in getting everything in the best order for the sitter. So guard yourself with a FaceTime tour with the people you are about to accept the job. So with that said I am signing off and wishing you all, lots of love and a wake up to all the beauty and grace we all receive daily... Love love love to all!!! Angela
